I have been a  Nurse Practitioner my whole career and loved every minute of it. I recently retired and it is one of the hardest things I have ever done!   I saw too many people wilt in retirement. There was no plan, no energy for life.
NOT ME!! I want to give back, help energize people, listen when you are sad, educate and enjoy life.

Life Challenges

This is just another challenge, right? Retirement? Do you feel farmed out to pasture? Grey hair overnight grew tenfold? Feeling invisible, old and not vital anymore? Don't get beat down by negative thoughts. Be the person that you want to be. If you are unsure who that is, let's help you figure that out.

Travel-Show me your world!

I am just beginning to travel without a "two week vacation" deadline. Wow, am I impressed! Did you realize there is a whole world out there waiting to be discovered? Let's share our destinations and ideas even if it is just a Staycation.

Favorite recipes

Come on people, we are not always healthy and not always bad. Let's cover both of these categories. I used to own a small bakery and it has been a passion of mine to bake and create. Thank God I had the good sense to share the creations with neighbors! BUT, more than ever I want to create beautiful food that is healthy, most of the time, lol. You?

Time to get dirty

My career was inside, so on weekends I wanted to be outside and challenge myself. I built things, created gardens, built rock walls, put postholes in and mostly did things "that girls don't do". You? Time to get outside and challenge yourself to things you have never done. For me, I rented a Bobcat for one project and it was a blast. The only problem was the man that delivered it didn't give me any instructions on its' use. But being a woman I figured it out. It was so fun! Male neighbors were incredulous watching me. Thank God I didn't tip it over.

Fitness and Health

Let's face it, most people are neglecting it. We were so busy with our families, working and being Domestic Goddess's that we skipped over the part that said "your body is your temple". Let's share ideas on how to incorporate better eating and exercise in a way that works for you. As I develop this site more and more, I will link sites that support fun and health. Nothing Is impossible!! I plan to live til 95, so join me!

Heartaches

With all the positivity that I can offer, there will still be times that our hearts ache. This is when you seek people that can meet you emotionally and help support you. Life is filled with challenges and they are better shared.

Will try to keep you up to date on various news that comes our way. There are rapid changes in medicine and we live in an exciting time.

 We are going to spend a great deal of our retirement in San Miguel de Allende, and invite you to share the adventures, the beautiful people, both native and expats, the incredible restaurants and music to die for. I promise you will look at the area with a whole new lens. Then, when you want to move there, find me!
