Good news for the one billion of us who were told for years that coffee is not good for us
A recent study from Dr. Perry Wilson of Yale School of Medicine, as reported to Medscape, that coffee may actually be beneficial! We personally felt it, right?
But since 2013 36 studies have shown the actual benefit in the relationship to cardiovascular health. The "sweet spot" seems to be 3-5 cups per day to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by 15 per cent.
Coffee contains caffeine, phenols and chlorogenic acids. It increased levels of nitric oxide in the blood and causes vasodilation in our arteries. It also allows us to feel more awake as helps us "get going".
Remember, this is preventative in nature, if you already have cardiovascular disease discuss limits with your Health Care Provider.
But for this month, this year, lol, enjoy the good news!
