Recently I have had subscribers ask me about life energy at retirement age.
Maybe they are feeling a little lost with the changes in their lives, feeling a lack of purpose, drive, etc.
So how do YOU wake up in the morning?
Hopefully not hung over from a little too much "5 o'clock somewhere".
I am going to give you a few suggestions from someone who has a little too much energy. I get lots done daily and there seems to be an endless list of possibilities.
Here goes.
When I wake up, I take a few minutes to just think and wait for inspiration. It doesn't take long.
First, what can I accomplish today? Big or small, what are my goals? It is easy to just lie there, especially if your mind feels groggy. But, if you train yourself to think about what can you accomplish, it immediately wakes your brain to a new energy. I try to think of three things, I alphabetize them as it makes it easy to remember. Can't you just feel my brain energy? I don't feel grouchy or groggy, the chemicals are awake.
Secondly, I ask myself what can I do for someone? Outward focus creates harmony in my mind and gives me a chance to not be self focused. We all know the world is becoming more and more me, me, me. It can be so simple, even one task. Buy a coffee for someone in line, check on a neighbor, text someone, or call, if you know they are lonely or isolated, etc. Reaching out to people is listed as one of the tasks that supposedly helps with Alzheimer prevention. But more importantly it is a kindness. We need more of this.
So that is my morning routine, then brush my teeth, lol.
Try it for a week, please. You won't be disappointed.
